Clinical
Green Guard Derma-Caine Burn is a topical cream containing benzalkonium chloride and lidocaine hydrochloride. Benzalkonium chloride is commonly used as an antimicrobial and antiseptic agent in over-the-counter products, while lidocaine hydrochloride is typically used as a local anesthetic to help numb pain and discomfort. This is an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under established FDA guidelines for its category rather than as an individually reviewed new drug application.
