This medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

- If you're 12 or older, chew one tablet completely when you need relief, then swallow. Don't swallow it whole. Don't take more than 2 chewable tablets in 24 hours.
- The label says children 12 and older can use it as directed. For children under 12, ask a doctor first.
- Stop and talk to a doctor if you need it for more than 14 days, or if your heartburn continues or gets worse. Heartburn lasting over 3 months should also be checked.
