Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical solution marketed as an earwax removal kit. The active ingredient is carbamide peroxide, a chemical compound that releases oxygen when applied to the ear canal. Carbamide peroxide is typically used in earwax removal products because the oxygen bubbles help soften and loosen impacted earwax so it can be more easily removed. This product is an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is sold under FDA's established safety and use guidelines for this class of product rather than as an individually approved application.
