What happens

An increased risk of QT interval prolongation and increased dasatinib exposure

Dasatinib is a CYP3A4 substrate and is known to prolong the QT interval1 and fluconazole is a CYP3A4 inhibitor that has been associated with rare cases of QT prolongation and torsade de pointes. The concomitant use of dasatinib with fluconazole is contraindicated due to an increased risk of QT interval prolongation and serious cardiac adverse events 2.
