Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Clinical research shows that ephedrine from another herb, ephedra, can prolong the QT interval.

Here's the concern with pairing Sida cordifolia and dasatinib (Sprycel). Dasatinib is known to stretch out part of your heartbeat's electrical cycle, something called QT prolongation. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, a stimulant that can do the same thing. Stack the two together and you may add to that effect, which in rare cases can lead to a dangerous, irregular heart rhythm.

On top of that, ephedrine speeds up the heart and raises blood pressure, which is not what you want while on cancer therapy. The evidence here is partly theoretical, but the risk is taken seriously. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Talk with your oncologist or pharmacist before using this supplement, since safer options usually exist.

Sida cordifolia (bala or country mallow) is a traditional Ayurvedic plant that naturally contains ephedrine, a powerful stimulant. About Dasatinib

What Is Dasatinib Used For?

Brand names: Sprycel, Phyrago

Dasatinib tablets (sold as Sprycel, Phyrago, and the generic dasatinib) are used to treat adults with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in chronic phase, as well as adults with CML in accelerated or blast phase whose leukemia has stopped responding to — or who could not tolerate — prior treatment including imatinib. They are also used for adults with Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) who have resistance or intolerance to prior therapy.

For children 1 year of age and older, Sprycel and Phyrago are indicated for Ph+ CML in chronic phase, and for newly diagnosed Ph+ ALL in combination with chemotherapy. The generic dasatinib tablet is indicated in pediatric patients 1 year and older for Ph+ CML in chronic phase.
