Theoretically, Sida cordifolia might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with stimulant drugs.
Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.

Here's the issue with pairing these two. Phentermine is itself a stimulant that works like the body's own adrenaline, so it can already nudge up your heart rate and blood pressure. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, which is another stimulant. Stacking two stimulants together means their effects can pile on top of each other.

What might that look like? Think racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and most importantly, higher blood pressure. In some people that combination raises the real risk of dangerous heart rhythm or blood pressure problems. To be fair, this concern is based on how these drugs work rather than hard human studies, but the worry is reasonable. I'd avoid combining them and check with your doctor or pharmacist first.

Phentermine is approved as a short-term addition to a weight-loss program — not a standalone treatment. It is used alongside reduced-calorie eating, increased physical activity, and behavior changes to help manage obesity in adults whose body mass index (BMI) is 30 kg/m² or higher, or 27 kg/m² or higher when other risk factors such as controlled high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) are also present.

All available phentermine products — including Adipex-P, Lomaira, and various generic capsules and tablets — share this same FDA-approved use. Lomaira tablets are specifically dosed to be taken three times daily before meals, while other formulations are generally taken once daily. Treatment is intended to last only a few weeks.
