Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.

Here's the thing about combining these two: Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, which is a stimulant in its own right. Amphetamine (Dyanavel XR, Mydayis, and others) is also a stimulant. So you'd essentially be stacking two stimulants on top of each other. That's not a 'cancel out' situation, it's an 'add up' one.

When stimulant effects pile up, your heart rate and blood pressure can climb higher than either would cause alone. Think racing heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, anxiety, and in more serious cases, dangerous spikes in blood pressure or heart rhythm problems. This concern is based on how these compounds work rather than hard human studies, but the risk is real enough that I'd steer clear of the combination. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing them.

Here's the simple version: both of these push your body in the same direction. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, a stimulant that raises blood pressure and speeds up the heart. Amphetamine already does much the same thing as part of how it treats ADHD or narcolepsy. Stacking two stimulants together can add up.

When you combine them, you may notice a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling wired and anxious. In some people that strain on the heart and blood vessels can become genuinely risky. The interaction here is rated as likely but partly theoretical, so I'd play it safe. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Run this combination by your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Amphetamine Used For?

Brand names: Dyanavel XR, Adensys XR-ODT, Mydayis, Adzenys ER

Amphetamine treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years and older. Adzenys XR-ODT, Dyanavel XR, and the amphetamine extended-release orally disintegrating tablet formulations are specifically approved for ADHD in this age group.

Amphetamine Sulfate tablets and Evekeo (amphetamine sulfate tablets) are also approved for narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness) and as a short-term aid in a calorie-restricted weight-loss program for exogenous obesity (weight gain from external factors like overeating) in patients who have not responded to other approaches.
