ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Aspart
Insulin Aspart falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Sida Cordifolia interacts with.
Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Clinical research shows that ephedrine can increase blood glucose levels.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to know if you use insulin aspart (Fiasp). This supplement contains ephedrine, a stimulant that tends to nudge blood sugar upward. Your insulin works in the opposite direction, bringing sugar down. So adding Sida cordifolia could partly fight against your insulin, and you might see your numbers run higher than usual or feel like your dose just isn't holding things steady.
The flip worry is timing and dosing: if you or your provider increased your insulin to cover that effect and then you stopped the supplement, you could swing low and risk a hypoglycemic episode (shakiness, sweating, confusion). Honestly, given the heart and blood pressure risks of this plant, I'd skip it. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin Aspart page
“Every one of the 239 supplements listed for insulin aspart (Fiasp) touches the same thing the drug exists to manage, blood sugar, so this list warrants genuine care rather than a quick skim. Most entries add to insulin's glucose-lowering effect, raising the risk of hypoglycemia, and with a rapid-acting mealtime insulin a low can become…”

About Sida Cordifolia
What is Sida Cordifolia?
- Weight loss and energy
- Asthma and breathing problems
- Joint and muscle pain
- Fever and cough
- General fatigue or 'tonic'
Sida cordifolia (bala or country mallow) is a traditional Ayurvedic plant that naturally contains ephedrine, a powerful stimulant. Because of this, many supplements containing it have been banned or restricted, and it carries real risks to the heart and blood pressure. There is little reliable human evidence that it works, so most people should avoid it and talk with a pharmacist or doctor first.
About Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection
What Is Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?
Brand name: Fiasp
Insulin aspart is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in people with diabetes mellitus. It is approved for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in adults, and for diabetes mellitus in pediatric patients.
Insulin Aspart Protamine and Insulin Aspart Mix 70/30 is a pre-mixed product that combines a rapid-acting and an intermediate-acting insulin aspart. It is approved to improve blood sugar control in adult patients with diabetes mellitus. It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis, and because its ratio of rapid-acting to intermediate-acting insulin is fixed, it does not allow for separate mealtime versus background dose adjustments.
