Inhaled insulin (Exubera) is a fast-acting insulin you breathe in to bring your blood sugar down around meals. The concern here is that Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, a stimulant that can actually push blood sugar levels up. So the two work against each other.

In plain terms, taking Sida cordifolia could partly cancel out the work your insulin is doing, which may leave your numbers running higher than you and your doctor expect. That makes diabetes harder to control. Keep in mind the evidence here is mostly theoretical and tied to ephedrine's known stimulant effects, not strong studies on this exact combo. On top of that, ephedrine can strain the heart and raise blood pressure. Please don't change your insulin on your own. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before adding this supplement.
