Avoid simultaneous administration of dasatinib and antacids as this may result in decreased dasatinib exposure. If antacid therapy is necessary in patients receiving dasatinib, administer the antacid either 2 hours prior to or 2 hours after administration of the dasatinib dose. Coadministration of dasatinib and aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide (an antacid) resulted in dasatinib mean AUC and Cmax decreasing by 55% and 58%, respectively. However, when the same antacid dose was administered 2 hours before dasatinib, there was a 26% decrease in mean dasatinib Cmax and no significant change in mean AUC21.

a) Following simultaneous administration of a single dose of dasatinib and 30 mL of aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide (an antacid), dasatinib mean AUC and Cmax decreased by 55% and 58%, respectively. However, when the same antacid dose was administered 2 hours before the dasatinib dose, there was a 26% decrease in mean Cmax and no significant change in mean dasatinib AUC 2.
