The Lupaneta Pack pairs leuprolide, an injectable hormone medicine, with norethindrone, a progestin you take by mouth. The part that matters here is the norethindrone, since it's processed in your liver partly by an enzyme called CYP3A4. Calamus has been shown in lab (test tube) studies to slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let norethindrone build up a bit and nudge up side effects like nausea, headache, breast tenderness, mood changes, or bloating.

I want to be honest though: this is only a theoretical concern from in vitro work, not from people. On top of that, calamus contains beta-asarone, which raised enough safety red flags that the FDA banned it from foods. So rather than worry about the interaction alone, I'd just steer clear of calamus and check with your doctor or pharmacist first.
