Oseni is a combo pill that pairs alogliptin with pioglitazone, both of which work to lower your blood sugar. Here's the thing about caraway: this interaction is really only a theoretical one, based on animal studies where caraway extract nudged blood sugar a bit lower. So the concern is that, in theory, caraway could add to the sugar-lowering effect of your medication and push you toward low blood sugar.

If that happened, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, hungry, or confused. Honestly though, the caraway you sprinkle in cooking is unlikely to do much. Concentrated caraway oil or supplements are where I'd be a little more careful. If you go that route, just keep an eye on your numbers and check in with your doctor or pharmacist first.
