Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine
Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Caraway interacts with.
Animal research suggests that (S)-(+)-carvone, a major constituent of caraway seed extract, has sedative effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Zutripro already has two ingredients that can make you drowsy: the hydrocodone (an opioid cough suppressant) and the chlorpheniramine (a sedating antihistamine). Caraway's main oil, called carvone, showed mild calming, sleepy effects in animal studies, so in theory it could add to that drowsiness. You might feel more tired, foggy, or dizzy than usual.
I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It's theoretical, based on pharmacology and animal data, not real-world reports in people. The caraway you sprinkle on food almost certainly won't matter. Concentrated caraway oil or supplement capsules are where I'd be a little more careful. If you take those regularly, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
