Here's the concern with pairing chaparral and choline salicylate (Arthropan). Chaparral has been tied to serious, sometimes lasting liver damage, which is why the FDA has warned against using it at all. Choline salicylate is a salicylate pain reliever, related to aspirin, and salicylates can also stress the liver, especially at higher doses or with regular use. Put the two together and you may be adding one liver burden on top of another.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is mostly theoretical and based on scattered reports, not strong studies, so it isn't a guaranteed problem. Still, given chaparral's real risks, I'd steer clear of it. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
