Here's the concern with pairing chaparral and Rezdiffra (resmetirom). This isn't a classic enzyme-blocking interaction. Resmetirom is a medicine used for liver conditions (a type of fatty liver disease called MASH), and it can occasionally stress or irritate the liver on its own. Chaparral has been linked to serious, sometimes lasting liver damage. So the worry is simply an added burden on the same organ, meaning two liver stressors stacked on top of each other.

I'll be honest with you: this is mostly a theoretical, common-sense caution based on anecdotal reports, not hard proof. But since chaparral has real safety warnings from the FDA and Rezdiffra already needs liver monitoring, I'd steer clear of chaparral here and let your doctor or pharmacist know before adding any supplement.
