Byvalson is a two-in-one blood pressure pill: nebivolol (a beta-blocker) plus valsartan (an ARB). Both already work to bring your blood pressure down. Coleus contains forskolin, which in animal studies seems to relax blood vessels and nudge blood pressure lower too. So the worry here is simple addition. If you stack Coleus on top of Byvalson, your pressure could drop more than intended.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up, plus tired, foggy, or even faint. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based mostly on lab and animal data, not strong human proof, so don't panic. Still, before adding Coleus, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Theoretically, taking coleus may affect drugs metabolized by CYP2C9 and increase the risk of adverse effects or reduce the effectiveness.
Research on the effect of coleus on CYP2C9 is conflicting. Some animal research shows that coleus extract can induce CYP2C9, while in vitro research shows that coleus can inhibit CYP2C9. Until more is known, advise patients that taking coleus might increase or decrease levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.

Byvalson combines two blood pressure medicines: nebivolol (a beta-blocker) and valsartan. The valsartan portion is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9, which is where Coleus comes in. On top of that, Coleus and its compound forskolin can affect blood pressure on their own, so there's a second reason to be cautious.

Here's the honest part: the lab and animal data are mixed. Some studies suggest Coleus speeds this enzyme up (which could weaken the effect and let your numbers creep back up), while others suggest it slows the enzyme down (which could raise drug levels and bring more dizziness, fatigue, or low blood pressure). Because we can't say which way it goes, and this is only test-tube and animal evidence, don't start Coleus without checking with your pharmacist or doctor first.
