Temazepam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Coleus interacts with.

Theoretically, taking coleus might decrease serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that coleus can activate the nuclear receptor, pregnane X receptor (PXR), which results in increased expression of CYP3A4. Although the clinical significance of this is not known, use caution when considering concomitant use of coleus and other drugs affected by these enzymes.

Here's the gist for Restoril (temazepam): it's a benzodiazepine your body partly clears using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab research suggests Coleus (forskolin) might nudge that enzyme to work a little faster. In theory, that could clear temazepam a bit quicker and leave you with less of it on board, meaning your sleep aid might not work as well, so you could have a harder time falling or staying asleep.

I want to be honest though: this is only a theory from test-tube studies, not something proven in real people, so the practical impact is probably small. Still, if you're using a Coleus supplement and notice your temazepam isn't doing its job, don't change anything on your own. Just give your pharmacist or doctor a quick call.
