Date Palm + Losartan Potassium
Losartan Potassium brand name: Cozaar.
We found no known interaction between Date Palm and Losartan Potassium in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Date Palm and Losartan Potassium
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Losartan Potassium and Date Palm in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Date Palm at all — not against Losartan Potassium, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

About Date Palm
What is Date Palm?
- Nutritional energy source
- Digestive health and constipation
- Labor support (folk use)
- Male fertility (pollen, traditional)
- General wellness and antioxidant support
Date palm fruit is a nutritious food rich in natural sugars, fiber, and antioxidants, and is widely eaten as part of a healthy diet. Beyond its value as food, evidence for medicinal benefits like easing labor or boosting fertility is limited and mostly preliminary. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated date supplements for a health condition.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Date Palm is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Date Palm record says about it on its own.
Date Palm: dosing
There is no official or standardized medicinal dose for date palm. As a food, dates are eaten according to personal taste and dietary needs, and a few dates make a typical serving. For date supplements, syrups, or pollen products, follow the directions on the product label.

About Losartan
What Is Losartan Used For?
Brand name: Cozaar
Losartan tablets — available as branded Cozaar and several generic products — are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children 6 years and older. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Losartan tablets are also used to reduce the risk of stroke in people with high blood pressure who also have left ventricular hypertrophy (an enlarged left side of the heart). Note: evidence suggests this stroke-risk benefit may not apply to Black patients.
Losartan tablets are additionally approved to protect the kidneys in people with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and signs of kidney damage (diabetic nephropathy). Arbli, the oral suspension form, shares these same approved uses.
Most-Reported Side Effects for Losartan Potassium
From FAERS, the FDA’s public side-effect reporting system (89,498 reports, all brands). Reports are voluntary and are not proof the drug caused the effect.

Losartan Potassium Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Losartan Potassium as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Date Palm — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
