Gestodene falls under CONTRACEPTIVE DRUGS — the group Deer Velvet interacts with.

Theoretically, deer velvet might interfere with the effectiveness of contraceptive drugs.
Laboratory research shows that deer velvet contains small quantities of estradiol and testosterone. While clinical research shows that taking deer velvet extract does not raise testosterone levels, estradiol levels were not measured.

Gestodene is the active progestin in your Minesse birth control pill, and it works alongside a small dose of estrogen to prevent pregnancy. The concern here is purely theoretical. Lab tests have found tiny amounts of natural hormones, including estradiol, inside deer velvet. In a body that's already balanced by your pill, adding even small outside hormone-like substances could, in theory, nudge things and make the pill slightly less reliable.

That said, this is a weak, unproven worry. There's no real-world evidence that deer velvet causes pill failure, and the amounts involved are very small. Still, since an unplanned pregnancy is a big deal, I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and never stop your pill on your own.
