Here's the thing about Demecarium: it works by blocking the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, so more of that nerve-signaling chemical sticks around. It's used as eye drops to lower eye pressure. Now, lab and animal studies hint that DMSO may slow down that same enzyme. If both are doing the same job, in theory you could end up with too much cholinergic activity.

What might that look like? Things like watery eyes, blurry or dim vision, eye brow ache, plus possible body-wide effects such as drooling, sweating, stomach cramps, or a slow heartbeat if enough gets absorbed. I want to stress this is theoretical, based only on early research, not real patient reports. Still, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before pairing them.
