Memantine, Donepezil falls under CHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Dimethylsulfoxide (dmso) interacts with.

Here's the idea with Namzaric, which combines memantine and donepezil. The donepezil part works by blocking an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase, which raises levels of a brain chemical (acetylcholine). Interestingly, lab and animal studies hint that DMSO may block that same enzyme. So in theory, using DMSO alongside donepezil could push acetylcholine a little higher than intended.

If that happened, you might notice more of donepezil's usual side effects, things like nausea, diarrhea, stomach cramps, a slower heart rate, dizziness, or muscle twitching. I want to be honest though: this is theoretical and based only on early lab work, not real patient cases, so the actual risk is likely small. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding DMSO.
