Here's the practical takeaway: Vorapaxar (Zontivity) is already a powerful blood thinner that keeps your platelets from clumping into clots, which is exactly why your doctor prescribed it after a heart attack or for poor leg circulation. The concern with DMSO is that, in lab studies, it also seems to dampen platelet activity. Stacked on top of vorapaxar (which you're likely taking with aspirin and clopidogrel too), the worry is a little extra bleeding risk, like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or harder-to-stop cuts.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's theoretical, based on test-tube data, not real patients. That doesn't mean ignore it. Vorapaxar carries a serious bleeding warning on its own, so before you use any DMSO product, please check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Zontivity (vorapaxar) is used to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, cardiovascular death, and the need for urgent procedures to open blocked arteries. It is prescribed for people who have already had a heart attack or who have peripheral arterial disease (PAD) — a condition where arteries outside the heart become narrowed or blocked.

Zontivity is not used alone. It is given alongside aspirin and/or clopidogrel as part of a broader antiplatelet treatment plan.
