Here's the simple version. Muraglitazar is a medicine that helps lower your blood sugar. Eucalyptus leaf, based mostly on animal studies, may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own. Put the two together and the worry is that your sugar could dip a little lower than expected, which we call hypoglycemia.

If that happened, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, unusually hungry, or just off. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern from lab and animal work, not strong human proof, and the small amounts in a lozenge or vapor rub are unlikely to cause trouble. Never swallow eucalyptus oil. If you use a concentrated eucalyptus supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your blood sugar.
