Amlodipine, Celecoxib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Fo-ti interacts with.

Theoretically, fo-ti may increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that fo-ti may inhibit CYP2C9. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

This combo pill pairs amlodipine (a blood pressure medicine) with celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever). The celecoxib part is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In lab dishes and animal studies, Fo-ti seems to slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let celecoxib build up a bit and bring more of its usual side effects, like stomach upset, fluid retention, higher blood pressure, or, less often, kidney strain.

I want to be honest though: this has only been seen in test-tube and animal research, never confirmed in people, so it's mostly theoretical. Fo-ti also carries its own liver-injury reports, so don't start or stop anything on your own. Check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Theoretically, fo-ti might increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research suggests that fo-ti might inhibit CYP3A4. One in vitro study suggests that the degree of CYP3A4 inhibition may depend on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, this evidence conflicts with animal research suggesting that fo-ti does not inhibit CYP3A4. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Consensi is a combo pill that pairs amlodipine (a blood pressure medicine) with celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory for pain). Both halves are cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The concern here is that Fo-ti might slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let these drugs build up a bit higher than usual.

If that happened, you might notice more of amlodipine's effects, like dizziness, flushing, ankle swelling, or lower blood pressure, and possibly more stomach or fluid-related side effects from celecoxib. But honestly, this is only suggested by lab studies, with conflicting animal data, and it has never been reported in real people. So it is a theoretical caution, not a red alert. Just let your pharmacist or doctor know you take Fo-ti so they can keep an eye on things.
