CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES

Aspirin, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Fo-ti interacts with.
Animal research suggests that fo-ti might inhibit CYP2D6. Additionally, an in vitro study suggests that the degree of CYP2D6 inhibition may depend on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the wrinkle with this combo. The hydrocodone half of this product is actually a prodrug, meaning your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn part of it into hydromorphone, a stronger painkiller. Lab and animal studies hint that Fo-ti, especially the raw root, might slow that same enzyme down. If that happened, less hydrocodone would convert, so you could get less pain relief than expected.
I want to keep this in perspective. This is a theoretical concern from cells and animals, never actually reported in people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The aspirin portion isn't affected this way. Still, before pairing Fo-ti with this medicine, run it by your pharmacist or doctor, partly because Fo-ti has been linked to liver issues.

In vitro research suggests that fo-ti might inhibit CYP3A4. One in vitro study suggests that the degree of CYP3A4 inhibition may depend on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, this evidence conflicts with animal research suggesting that fo-ti does not inhibit CYP3A4. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

The hydrocodone part of this combo pill is partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The thinking here is that Fo-ti might slow that enzyme down a bit. If it does, hydrocodone could hang around longer in your system, which in theory could nudge up its effects, things like extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing if it really stacked up.
Here's my honest take, though: this is based only on lab dish studies, and even those disagree, with animal research showing no real effect. It has never been reported in an actual person. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but since Fo-ti has also been tied to liver injury and this pill carries an opioid, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS

The medication you asked about combines aspirin (a blood thinner that keeps platelets from clumping) with hydrocodone (an opioid pain reliever). The interaction here is really about the aspirin part. Fo-ti has been tied to rare cases of liver injury, and your liver makes the clotting factors that help you stop bleeding. If Fo-ti stresses the liver, those clotting factors can drop, which may stack on top of aspirin's blood-thinning effect.
Put together, that could mean easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach bleeding. To be honest, this is based on a few case reports, not strong studies, so it's a possible concern rather than a proven one. Please don't stop anything on your own, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
