Atropine, morphine sulfate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Fo-ti interacts with.

Theoretically, fo-ti may increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Animal research suggests that fo-ti might inhibit CYP2D6. Additionally, an in vitro study suggests that the degree of CYP2D6 inhibition may depend on the type of fo-ti extract (i.e., the raw plant leads to greater inhibition than extensively processed extracts). However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist: lab and animal studies hint that Fo-ti, especially the raw root, may slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Morphine isn't a prodrug, so if that enzyme slows, more morphine could linger in your system. In real life that might mean stronger or longer-lasting effects like extra drowsiness, slowed breathing, constipation, or nausea. Atropine relies less on this pathway, so it's less of a concern here.

I want to be honest though, this interaction is theoretical and has never actually been reported in people. It's mostly a caution flag, not a red alarm. Since both of these are serious medications, please run your Fo-ti plans past your doctor or pharmacist before mixing them.
