Here's the simple version: Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) already works to bring your blood sugar down, helping your body release insulin when you eat and slowing how fast your stomach empties. Fo-ti has reportedly shown its own mild blood-sugar-lowering effect in lab and animal work. Put the two together and, in theory, your sugar could dip a little lower than expected.

One honest caveat: this concern is theoretical and based on how the plant behaves, not on solid human studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you notice signs of low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart), check your levels. Fo-ti has also been linked to liver injury, which is another reason to loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Tirzepatide injection Used For?

Brand names: Mounjaro, Zepbound

Zepbound is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity to reduce excess body weight and keep it off long term in adults with obesity, or in adults who are overweight and have at least one weight-related health condition. Zepbound is also approved to treat moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in adults with obesity.

Mounjaro is used to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes, also as part of a diet and exercise program. Do not use tirzepatide alongside other tirzepatide-containing products or any GLP-1 receptor agonist.
