Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Tirzepatide
Tirzepatide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Agmatine interacts with.
Animal and in vitro research suggest that agmatine has mild hypoglycemic effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) already works to bring your blood sugar down, so the concern here is simply additive. The thinking is that agmatine may have its own mild blood-sugar-lowering action, and stacking it on top of your tirzepatide could nudge your sugar a little lower than expected. That might show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling unusually hungry or tired.
I want to be honest about the strength of this, though: it's theoretical, drawn mostly from animal and lab studies, not from people. For most folks it likely won't cause trouble. Still, if you decide to use agmatine, it's smart to keep an eye on your glucose and let your pharmacist or doctor know before you start, so they can guide you.

About Agmatine
What is Agmatine?
- Pre- and post-workout support
- Muscle pumps and exercise performance
- Cognitive support and mood
- Nerve pain
- General well-being
Agmatine is a compound your body makes from the amino acid arginine, and it is sold mainly as a workout and 'pump' supplement. Human evidence for most of its claimed benefits is limited and preliminary, so its true effects are uncertain. If you want to try it, talk with your pharmacist or doctor first, especially if you have health conditions or take other medicines.

Tirzepatide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Tirzepatide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Agmatine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
