Here's the simple version: Quinapril already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Agmatine, at least in animal studies, seems to nudge blood pressure and heart rate down a little too. Stack the two together and they could in theory add up, leaving your pressure lower than you'd want.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or a bit woozy when you stand up quickly. Keep in mind this concern is theoretical, based on lab and animal work rather than real patient reports, so it's not a reason to panic. Still, since blood pressure is the very thing your Quinapril is managing, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding agmatine, and watch how you feel if you do.

What Is Quinapril Used For?

Brand names: Accupril, Accupro

Quinapril tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack. Quinapril may be used alone or combined with a thiazide diuretic (water pill) when one medication isn't enough.

Quinapril tablets are also used in the management of heart failure as an add-on therapy alongside other standard treatments such as diuretics and/or digitalis.
