Agmatine + Glipizide
Glipizide brand names: Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Glipizide
Glipizide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Agmatine interacts with.
Animal and in vitro research suggest that agmatine has mild hypoglycemic effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind with glipizide: it already lowers your blood sugar by nudging your pancreas to release more insulin. Agmatine, in early animal and test-tube studies, seems to gently lower blood sugar on its own too. So the worry is simple addition. If you stack a mild blood-sugar-lowering supplement on top of a medicine that's already doing that job, you could dip a little lower than expected.
If your sugar drops too low, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, foggy, or unusually hungry. I want to be honest, though: this interaction is theoretical and based on weak, preliminary research, not solid human studies. It's not a reason to panic. If you'd like to try agmatine, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your glucose readings.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Glipizide page
“Glipizide (Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL) lowers blood sugar by prompting the pancreas to release more insulin, and that same power is why I read its supplement list with real seriousness. Of the 307 ingredients on file, 239 also act on blood glucose, so stacking them can drive sugar dangerously low.”

Glipizide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Glipizide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Agmatine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
