GBL is metabolized to gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB). Concomitant use of CNS depressants with GHB may cause serious CNS and respiratory depression.

First, the most important thing: GBL isn't a real supplement. It's a toxic solvent that your body turns into GHB, a heavy sedative, and it's illegal to sell for human use. Please don't take it. If you're looking for help with sleep, pain, or anything else, talk to me or your doctor.

Here's why mixing it with oxycodone is so risky. Oxycodone is a strong opioid that already slows your breathing and dulls your alertness. GBL (as GHB) piles a second sedative effect on top. Together they can stack up and cause dangerously slow or shallow breathing, deep drowsiness, passing out, and even coma. This combo can be deadly. The evidence is mostly anecdotal, but the risk is real enough that I'd urge you to never combine them.

GBL is metabolized to gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB). Concomitant use of narcotic drugs with GHB may cause serious CNS and respiratory depression. In one case report, concurrent use of GHB and heroin was fatal.

Let me be direct here: GBL is not something you should be taking at all. It's a toxic solvent that your body turns into GHB, a heavy-duty sedative that shuts down the nervous system. Pairing that kind of brain-slowing effect with oxycodone, which is already a strong opioid painkiller, is a genuinely dangerous combination.

Both substances push your breathing and alertness down. Stacked together, you could see extreme drowsiness, slowed or stopped breathing, very low blood pressure, unconsciousness, and even death. We only have anecdotal reports (one fatal case mixed GHB with heroin), so this is more theoretical than proven, but the risk is serious enough that I wouldn't gamble on it. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist, and if you're struggling, there is help.
