Serdexmethylphenidate Chloride, Dexmethylphenidate Hydrochloride falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Glucomannan interacts with.

Theoretically, glucomannan may decrease absorption of drugs taken orally.
Due to its viscosity and bulking effects, there is concern that glucomannan can decrease the absorption of oral drugs. A small clinical study in healthy volunteers shows that taking glyburide 2.5 mg plus glucomannan 3.9 grams with breakfast reduces plasma levels of glyburide when compared with breakfast and glyburide alone. In addition, animal research demonstrates this effect on amoxicillin, but shows increased absorption of metronidazole. This mouse model also demonstrates that metronidazole elimination is prolonged, but amoxicillin elimination is enhanced by 38%; glucomannan may also affect the distribution of some drugs. To avoid changes in absorption, take glucomannan 30-60 minutes after taking oral drugs.

Here's the simple version: glucomannan is a thick, gel-forming fiber, and when it's swelling in your stomach at the same time as your Azstarys, it may grab onto some of the medicine and slow how much gets absorbed. That could mean a little less of your ADHD medicine actually makes it into your bloodstream, so you might notice it working less well, like more trouble focusing or staying on task during the day.

This is mostly a timing concern, and the easy fix is spacing them out. A common suggestion is to take your Azstarys first thing and wait at least 30 to 60 minutes before your glucomannan. The evidence here is fairly limited and based on other oral drugs, not Azstarys specifically, so don't panic. Just run the timing by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Azstarys (serdexmethylphenidate/dexmethylphenidate) is approved to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years of age and older. It is not recommended for children younger than 6 because they experience higher drug levels in the blood and more side effects at the same doses used in older patients.
