Here's the thing to keep in mind with Nurtec ODT (rimegepant) and guar gum. Guar gum is a thick, gel-forming fiber, and that gel can trap or slow the absorption of pills sharing your stomach at the same time. We've seen this with drugs like metformin and penicillin. The concern with rimegepant is that less of it gets into your bloodstream, so your migraine may not respond as well as you'd expect.

The good news is this is mostly a timing issue, not a reason to avoid either one. A simple fix is to take your rimegepant first, then wait about 30 to 60 minutes before your guar gum. Food amounts of fiber are unlikely to matter much, but concentrated supplements can. Run your routine by your pharmacist to be safe.
