Here's the situation with Aubagio (teriflunomide) and guar gum. Because guar gum forms a thick gel in your stomach and intestines, it can grab onto pills and slow or lessen how much medicine your body actually absorbs. With your MS medication, the worry is that you'd take in a bit less of it, which could make it work less reliably at keeping your relapses in check.

The good news is this is easy to manage with timing. A simple fix is to space them out, taking your teriflunomide first and waiting about 30 to 60 minutes before your guar gum. The evidence here is moderate and mostly from other oral drugs, not teriflunomide itself, so don't panic. Just run the timing by your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
