Here's the practical concern with guar gum and your Toremifene (Fareston). Because guar gum is a thick, gel-forming fiber, it can grab onto medications in your stomach and gut and slow or reduce how much gets absorbed. Toremifene is a pill you swallow, so in theory less of it could make it into your bloodstream, which could mean it doesn't work as well against the breast cancer it's treating.

This is a moderate, possible interaction based on studies with other oral drugs (like metformin and penicillin), not toremifene specifically, so the evidence here is indirect. Since toremifene is a long-term cancer treatment, I wouldn't want to risk weakening it. A simple fix is spacing them apart. Please check the best timing with your pharmacist or oncology team before combining them.
