Ganaxolone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Guggul interacts with.

Theoretically, guggul might reduce the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that guggul constituents known as guggulsterones can induce CYP3A4.

Ganaxolone (Ztalmy) is the seizure medicine used for CDKL5 deficiency disorder, and your liver clears it partly through an enzyme called CYP3A4. Guggul's active compounds, the guggulsterones, may speed that enzyme up. If that happens, your body could break down ganaxolone faster than usual, leaving less of it working to control seizures. In practical terms, that might mean seizures becoming harder to manage or breaking through again.

I'll be honest with you: this concern comes only from lab and test-tube studies, not from people actually taking both together, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, because seizure control is so important, I wouldn't add guggul on your own. Please run it by your neurologist or pharmacist first.
