Here's the gist with aripiprazole (Abilify) and guggul. Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear aripiprazole. Lab studies hint that guggul's active compounds, the guggulsterones, may speed that enzyme up. If that happens in real life, your aripiprazole could be broken down faster, leaving less in your system. The worry there is a weaker effect, meaning the symptoms it controls (mood swings, mania, or psychotic symptoms) might start creeping back.

I want to be honest: this is theoretical, based on test-tube and animal research, not solid human studies. Since aripiprazole is the kind of medicine you don't want to lose control of, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding guggul rather than changing anything on your own.
