Repotrectinib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INDUCERS — the group Hound's Tongue interacts with.

Theoretically, CYP3A4 inducers can increase the toxicity of the pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA) constituents of hound's tongue.
Hepatotoxic PAs are substrates of cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). Drugs that induce CYP3A4 might increase the conversion of PAs to toxic metabolites.

Here's the twist with this pairing: it's not that Repotrectinib (Augtyro) becomes more dangerous, it's that Hound's Tongue could become more toxic. Repotrectinib is one of the medicines that can rev up a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. That same enzyme is what turns the pyrrolizidine alkaloids in Hound's Tongue into harmful, liver-damaging byproducts. So in theory, speeding up that enzyme could mean more of those toxic breakdown products forming.

I want to be honest that this concern comes from lab and animal data, not real human studies, so it's more of a caution than a proven danger. That said, Hound's Tongue taken internally is already discouraged because of those liver toxins. Please check with your oncology team or pharmacist before using it in any form.
