Insulin (rDNA) falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Indian Cassia interacts with.

Theoretically, Indian cassia might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs. Clinical research shows that taking Indian cassia 10 grams three times daily for 3 months while following a reduced carbohydrate diet can decrease fasting blood glucose levels by up to 41% in patients with diabetes. Monitor blood glucose levels closely; dose adjustments of antidiabetes drugs might be necessary.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: insulin already does the heavy lifting of lowering your blood sugar. Indian cassia, when taken in concentrated supplement amounts (the studies used about 10 grams three times a day), may nudge blood sugar down too. Stack the two together and those effects can add up, which means your sugar could drop lower than you intend.

That can show up as low blood sugar (hypoglycemia): shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, dizziness, confusion, or feeling suddenly hungry. The everyday bay leaf in your cooking is very unlikely to cause this. The concern is mainly with concentrated supplements. Please don't change your insulin on your own. Check your readings closely and talk with your pharmacist or doctor first, since your dose might need adjusting.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Humalog, Humalog Mix 75/25, Humulin R, Humulin N, Humulin L, Humulin 50/50, Humulin 70/30, Humulin U, NovoLog, Velosulin, Novolog Mix 70/30, Actrapid, Humulin S, Insuman Rapid

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
