Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Albiglutide
Albiglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Inulin interacts with.
Some clinical research shows that inulin improves glycemic control in patients with diabetes; however, it is unclear if it has hypoglycemic effects.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the honest picture: this one is mostly theoretical. Albiglutide (Tanzeum) already works to lower your blood sugar by boosting your body's own insulin response. Inulin, a fermentable fiber, may give blood sugar a small nudge downward too, since some studies suggest it helps with glucose control. Stack those together and there's a chance your blood sugar could run a touch lower than expected.
That said, this is rated minor and unlikely, based on pharmacology rather than strong proof. If you do add inulin, just keep an eye out for hypoglycemia signs like shakiness, sweating, or feeling lightheaded, and start with a low fiber dose to limit gas and bloating. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Albiglutide page
“People injecting albiglutide (Tanzeum) once a week for type 2 diabetes are often the same people eyeing supplements marketed for blood sugar, and that overlap is exactly where this list calls for real vigilance. Every one of the 239 ingredients on file touches glucose control in some way, most by adding to albiglutide's glucose-lowerin…”

About Inulin
What is Inulin?
- Constipation and regularity
- Prebiotic gut health
- Blood sugar support
- Calcium absorption
- Weight management
- Cholesterol support
Inulin is a type of plant fiber (a prebiotic) found naturally in foods like chicory root, onions, and garlic, and it is widely added to supplements and processed foods. It may help with regularity and feeding healthy gut bacteria, but it commonly causes gas and bloating, especially at higher doses. Start low, increase slowly, and check with your pharmacist or doctor if you have gut conditions.

Albiglutide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Albiglutide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Inulin — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
