Theoretically, inulin might increase the risk of hypoglycemia with antidiabetes drugs.
Some clinical research shows that inulin improves glycemic control in patients with diabetes; however, it is unclear if it has hypoglycemic effects.

Here's the gist: inulin and saxagliptin (Onglyza) don't really bump into each other in the way many drug interactions do. Inulin is just a plant fiber, so it doesn't interfere with how your body processes saxagliptin. The only thing worth mentioning is a theoretical idea that fiber like inulin might gently nudge blood sugar a little lower on its own.

Since saxagliptin mainly works by helping your body release insulin after meals when sugar is high, it rarely causes low blood sugar by itself, and adding inulin is unlikely to change that much. This concern is based on pharmacology, not strong real-world evidence. If you notice shakiness, sweating, or dizziness, treat it and let your doctor or pharmacist know. Don't change your medication on your own.
