Here's the practical picture with Toujeo (insulin glargine) and inulin fiber. Insulin glargine is your long-acting background insulin, so its job is steady blood sugar control. Inulin isn't broken down by your body the way insulin is, so it doesn't change how your insulin is cleared. The concern here is different: some studies hint that inulin may modestly improve blood sugar on its own by feeding healthy gut bacteria. In theory, that gentle lowering, stacked on top of your insulin, could nudge your sugar a little lower than expected.

To be clear, this is a theoretical, minor, and unlikely concern based on pharmacology, not strong proof. If you do add inulin, just watch for signs of low sugar (shakiness, sweating, dizziness) and keep an eye on your readings. Chat with your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.
