Candesartan Cilexetil, Hydrochlorothiazide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Java Tea interacts with.

Some preliminary clinical evidence suggests that Java tea has antihypertensive effects. Further, animal research suggests that Java tea has diuretic properties. Theoretically, taking Java tea with other antihypertensive drugs might increase the effects and risk for hypotension with these drugs.

Your Atacand HCT already does two jobs: candesartan relaxes your blood vessels, and hydrochlorothiazide is a water pill that helps your kidneys flush out extra fluid and salt. Java Tea seems to work in a similar direction. Early studies hint that it may gently lower blood pressure, and animal research suggests it acts as a mild diuretic, much like the water-pill part of your medicine.

So the concern here is simply adding more of the same effect. Stacking them could push your blood pressure or fluid levels a little too low, leaving you feeling dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or wobbly when you stand up. Keep in mind this is a theoretical caution based on how these things work, not strong human proof. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially since you already have kidney-related considerations.
