ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Lisinopril
Lisinopril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Java Tea interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the gist: Java Tea may gently lower blood pressure on its own, and it can act like a mild water pill (diuretic), nudging your kidneys to make more urine. Since Lisinopril already works to relax your blood vessels and bring your pressure down, stacking the two could add up and push your blood pressure too low.
If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or woozy when you stand up quickly. I want to be honest about the evidence, though: this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how the herb behaves in early lab and animal studies, not strong human proof. It's worth running by your pharmacist or doctor, especially since both can affect your kidneys and potassium.

About Java Tea
What is Java Tea?
- Urinary tract health
- Mild fluid retention
- Kidney and bladder support
- Mild diuretic ('water pill') effect
- Digestive complaints
Java Tea is a Southeast Asian herb traditionally used as a gentle diuretic and for urinary tract and kidney support. Some early lab, animal, and small human studies are encouraging, but high-quality evidence in people is limited, so it should not replace proven treatments. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have kidney problems or take other medicines.
About Lisinopril
What Is Lisinopril Used For?
Brand names: Zestril, Prinivil, Qbrelis
Lisinopril lowers blood pressure in adults and in children 6 years and older. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks.
It is also used to reduce signs and symptoms of systolic heart failure, and to treat stable patients within 24 hours of a heart attack. Zestril, Qbrelis and several lisinopril tablet products carry these uses. Some tablet labels describe the heart failure use as add-on therapy for people not responding well enough to diuretics and digitalis. The lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide combination tablet is described for high blood pressure.
