Java Tea + Heparin
Heparin brand name: Heparin.
We found no known interaction between Java Tea and Heparin in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Java Tea and Heparin
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Heparin and Java Tea in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Heparin
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Heparin is filed under a single classification — anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs. Java Tea has documented interactions with 2 drug classes — the most serious being antihypertensive drugs (moderate) and lithium (moderate) — and none of Heparin’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.
Java Tea Does Interact With Other Medications
Java Tea has 173 moderate known drug interactions in our database — Heparin isn’t one of them. If you take anything else, check it against the full list below.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Heparin
This page covers Java Tea only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Heparin page lists 202 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Danshen (major), Piracetam (major), Aconite (moderate), Allspice (moderate) and Aloe (moderate).
By severity: 2 major · 183 moderate · 17 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Heparin page
“Heparin exists to keep clots from forming, and all 202 supplements on this list touch that same clotting machinery, so treat these pairings with real care. Nearly all lean the same way, adding antiplatelet or anticoagulant activity that can push a therapeutic dose toward bruising and bleeding.”

Where Java Tea and Heparin Sit Against Everything Else
Out of every supplement and medication people look up on HelloPharmacist, here is where these two land this week — and which way each has been moving.
#614 of 1,452 supplements looked up here in the last 7 days
#1,716 of 2,830 medications looked up here in the last 7 days
Position among everything looked up on this site, not a measure of how commonly either one is used or how important it is. A supplement can climb this list because of a news story. It counts every request to the page, automated ones included, and nothing here identifies anyone.
Where does our data come from?
- Source: the Natural Medicines (TRC Healthcare) clinical database — the evidence-graded professional reference for herb & supplement interactions.
- Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Java Tea reference on this page ↓
- Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified September 20, 2026. The Java Tea and Heparin records this page draws on were last updated June 22, 2026.
- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Java Tea
What is Java Tea?
- Urinary tract health
- Mild fluid retention
- Kidney and bladder support
- Mild diuretic ('water pill') effect
- Digestive complaints
Java Tea is a Southeast Asian herb traditionally used as a gentle diuretic and for urinary tract and kidney support. Some early lab, animal, and small human studies are encouraging, but high-quality evidence in people is limited, so it should not replace proven treatments. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have kidney problems or take other medicines.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Java Tea is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Java Tea record says about it on its own.
Java Tea: dosing
There is no well-established standardized dose for Java Tea. The right amount can vary depending on the form (tea, capsule, or extract) and the strength of the product. The safest approach is to follow the directions on the product label and not exceed the recommended amount. Because Java Tea has a diuretic effect, it is also wise to stay well hydrated.

About Heparin Injection
What Is Heparin Injection Used For?
Brand name: Heparin
Heparin Sodium Injection is used to prevent and treat venous thrombosis (blood clots in veins) and pulmonary embolism (clots in the lungs). It is also used to prevent blood clots after major abdominothoracic surgery, to manage atrial fibrillation with embolization (a heart rhythm problem that can cause clots), and to treat disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), a serious condition where the blood clots too much throughout the body.
Additional uses include preventing clotting during arterial and cardiac surgery, treating peripheral arterial embolism (clots in the arteries of the limbs), and serving as an anticoagulant during blood transfusions, dialysis, and procedures using extracorporeal circulation (machines that temporarily take over heart or lung function).

Heparin Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Heparin as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Java Tea — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
