Here's the gist with Troxyca ER (the oxycodone plus naltrexone combo) and karaya gum. Because karaya gum is a bulky fiber that swells into a gel in your gut, it can grab onto pills and slightly slow or change how much medicine your body soaks up. This isn't about how the drug is broken down, it's simply a timing and absorption issue, and the concern here is theoretical, based on how fiber laxatives behave rather than firm studies.

In practice, taking them too close together could nudge your oxycodone absorption up or down a bit, meaning slightly more grogginess and constipation, or a little less pain relief. To keep things steady, a simple fix is to take your Troxyca ER first and wait about 30 to 60 minutes before the karaya gum. Run any changes by your pharmacist or doctor first.
