Kirlian Photography and Trimipramine

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Trimipramine and Kirlian Photography in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Kirlian Photography at all — not against Trimipramine, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

  • A bowel blockage Worth acting on
  • Trouble passing urine Worth acting on
  • Unsteadiness Worth acting on

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Trimipramine. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 1,449 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Trimipramine that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. Kirlian Photography’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Kirlian Photography side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Kirlian Photography has no side effects.

This page covers Kirlian Photography only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Trimipramine page lists 139 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.

By severity: 9 major · 100 moderate · 30 minor.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Trimipramine page

“If you take trimipramine (Surmontil), a tricyclic antidepressant, read this list carefully. Nine of the 139 supplements and herbs on file are rated major, and most touch the heart: several, grapefruit among them, can stretch the QT interval, the heart's electrical reset time, and raise the risk of a dangerous rhythm.”

About Kirlian Photography

What is Kirlian Photography?

  • Claimed 'aura' or energy imaging
  • Alternative wellness assessment
  • Stress or 'energy' readings
  • Spiritual or holistic exploration

Kirlian photography is not a dietary supplement or herb — it is a photographic technique that captures a glowing 'corona' around objects placed in a high-voltage electric field. The colorful 'aura' images it produces are caused by ordinary physical factors like moisture, pressure, and electrical conductivity, and there is no scientific evidence that it can diagnose disease or measure a person's health or 'energy.'

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Kirlian Photography is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Kirlian Photography record says about it on its own.

Kirlian Photography: dosing

There is no dose for Kirlian photography because it is not a supplement, herb, or medicine — nothing is swallowed or absorbed. There is no recommended frequency or 'amount.'If you are considering a Kirlian or 'aura' imaging session for curiosity or personal interest, treat it as entertainment rather than a health test, and do not let any result change your medical decisions.

About Trimipramine

What Is Trimipramine Used For?

Brand names: Surmontil, Trimip, Rhotrimine, Tripramine, Trimp

Trimipramine capsules are used to relieve the symptoms of depression. Both supported products (Trimipramine and Trimipramine Maleate oral capsules) carry this same use.

Depression with an “endogenous” pattern is more likely to improve than other depressive states. In the label’s studies, it worked about as well as amitriptyline in less-depressed outpatients, but somewhat less well in more severely depressed ones. In hospitalized patients, it worked about as well as imipramine.
