Ligandrol and Nevirapine

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.

Moderate

HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS

Why this applies to Nevirapine

Nevirapine falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Ligandrol interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive hepatotoxic effects.
In case reports, patients were diagnosed with liver injury thought to be related to the use of products containing ligandrol.
Severity Moderate Likelihood Possible Evidence D

Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.

Dr. Brian Staiger, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the concern with pairing these two: Nevirapine is already one of the harder HIV medicines on the liver. It can cause liver inflammation, especially in the first few months of treatment, which is why your doctor checks liver labs early on. Ligandrol, a SARM that isn't an approved supplement, has been tied to liver injury in real-world case reports. So you're potentially stacking two things that stress the same organ.

This is more of a theoretical, additive worry based on anecdotal reports rather than a proven, predictable reaction, but it's a reasonable one. Watch for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, nausea, or unusual tiredness. Honestly, I'd steer clear of Ligandrol, but please talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist before changing anything.
