Linden and Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide and Linden in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

How we checked

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide

Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide is filed under 9 classifications — including antacids, aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids). Linden has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being lithium (moderate) — and none of Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide’s classifications are among them.

Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aluminum Hydroxide, Aspirin, Magnesium Hydroxide page

“Ascriptin combines aspirin with two antacids, aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, and the aspirin part already thins the blood on its own. That is why more than 200 of the 255 ingredients listed here can raise bleeding risk, and why this page deserves a careful read rather than a quick skim.”

About Linden

What is Linden?

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Colds and flu symptoms
  • Cough and sore throat
  • Mild digestive upset
  • Promoting sweating during fever

Linden (also called lime flower) is a traditional herbal tea long used to calm nerves, ease cold symptoms, and support restful sleep. Strong human evidence for these uses is lacking, but the flowers are generally considered safe as an occasional tea for most healthy adults. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it regularly, especially during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or if you have a health condition.

Tilia cordata, Tilia platyphyllos · Malvaceae · Dried flowers (and bracts), sometimes leaves · Tea (infusion), tincture, liquid extract, capsules

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Linden is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Linden record says about it on its own.

Linden: dosing

There is no official standardized dose for linden. Traditionally it is taken as a tea made by steeping a small amount of the dried flowers in hot water, often once or a few times a day.Because products vary in strength, the best approach is to follow the directions on the product label.

About Aspirin

What Is Aspirin Used For?

Brand name: Ascriptin

Aspirin is used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains from headaches, backaches, muscle aches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, the common cold, and minor arthritis pain. It also temporarily reduces fever.

Some coated aspirin tablet products note that, under a doctor's supervision, aspirin can help prevent another heart attack or stroke in adults who have already had one. Because of their delayed-release design, those coated products will not give fast relief for headaches or other symptoms needing quick relief.
