Belinostat falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Manchurian Thorn interacts with.

Animal research suggests that high doses of Manchurian thorn can induce liver damage. Theoretically, concomitant use with other potentially hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of developing liver damage.

Here's the concern with pairing Manchurian Thorn and belinostat: both can be tough on the liver. Belinostat, your chemotherapy for T-cell lymphoma, is known to sometimes raise liver enzymes and stress liver function. Adding a supplement that may also burden the liver could, in theory, stack those risks together.

I want to be straight with you though, this caution rests on animal studies using high doses of the supplement, not on solid human data. So it's theoretical, not proven. Still, since belinostat already requires close monitoring of your liver, I'd skip the supplement unless your oncology team says otherwise. Watch for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, or unusual fatigue, and please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before starting anything new.

What Is Belinostat Injection Used For?

Brand name: Beleodaq

Beleodaq (belinostat) injection is approved to treat adult patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) — a fast-growing type of lymphoma (blood cancer) that either came back after treatment or never fully responded to it.

This approval is based on how well the cancer responded to the drug, including how long those responses lasted. Whether Beleodaq extends overall survival or improves disease-related symptoms has not yet been established. Continued approval may depend on results from a confirmatory trial.
